For adults, this section is almost always the unexpected second highlight of the day they arrive at it thinking the lion was the day and they leave having had two peak experiences. Bring swimwear and a towel. Getting into the water is the right decision.

The summer crowd has thinned, the temperature on the safari walk has returned to a comfortable level, and the Green Canyon water holds warmth well through October. The feeding session in autumn is noticeably more spacious and relaxed children have room, the atmosphere is quieter, and the time with the cub feels more personal. October in particular is one of the strongest months for this tour.

The safari walk and lion feeding session operate year-round. The Green Canyon boat is subject to weather conditions in winter.
