Who is Ümit Bulut?
I was born in Sweden. My father bought a boutique hotel in Alanya, and that's where I learned tourism from the ground up. For years, Alanya was a place I came to only in summers a vacation destination.
But for the past 5 years, I've lived here full-time. That shift from seasonal visitor to permanent resident changed everything. I know the east side of Alanya deeply now Kargıcak, Kestel, Mahmutlar. I know which hotels are well-run, which restaurants are worth visiting, which beaches are best for families versus couples.
