Lions Experience | Meet Baby Lions & Book Visit

Land of Lions is one of the most unique tours we offer and one of the hardest to explain until you actually do it. The day starts early with a drive to the Manavgat region, then you cruise Green Canyon by boat surrounded by turquoise water and mountains. After lunch, you visit the lion park where you can actually hold baby lions and take photos. Kids love it, couples love it, and honestly I've never seen anyone come back disappointed. If you only have time for one "different" experience in Alanya, this is the one I recommend.

Price note: Baby lion photo session is included in both packages no extra charge. Children under 5 are generally free. Prices are per person and include all activities listed. The main difference between packages is the operator quality, boat comfort level and group size.

Green Canyon Boat Cruise (Oymapınar Dam)

Green Canyon (Yeşil Kanyon) is formed by the Oymapınar Dam on the Manavgat River. The lake sits at 185 meters altitude surrounded by pine-covered mountains. The water is a striking turquoise-green color. The boat cruise lasts approximately 2 hours with at least one swimming stop in the canyon. Water temperature is cooler than the sea refreshing in summer. The scenery is completely different from the Alanya coast, which is why many travelers book this alongside a sea boat tour on a different day.

Baby Lion Zoo & Wildlife Park

The wildlife park houses adult lions, baby lions, and other animals including birds and reptiles. The highlight is the baby lion interaction guests can hold a baby lion under staff supervision and take photos. The interaction time is approximately 10–15 minutes per group. Photos are taken with your own phone or camera no extra charge. Staff supervise every interaction and explain safety rules before contact. The park is small but the experience is unique this is the only opportunity in the Alanya region to hold a live lion cub.

Lunch

Lunch is served either on the boat during the cruise or at a riverside restaurant near the dam. The menu typically includes grilled chicken or fish, rice, salad and bread. Vegetarian options are available on request mention when booking. Soft drinks and water are usually available for purchase separately.

Not recommended for: Travelers who are uncomfortable around animals, or those looking for an adrenaline-focused adventure (consider Jeep Safari or Adventure Tours instead).

Safety & Animal Welfare

The lion park is operated by trained animal handlers. All guest interactions with baby lions are supervised no unsupervised contact. Safety rules are explained before entry. Life jackets are available on the boat for non-swimmers. The tour uses licensed vehicles and experienced drivers for the Alanya–Manavgat route.
